Our Story

V&T’s has been a favorite for over 70 years for those in search of delicious and hearty pizza and classic Italian dishes.

In 1945, newly returned veterans from the second world war, Vincent and Tony Curcurato opened the “V&T” at 122nd street and Amsterdam Avenue in Morningside Heights. Before the war, the brothers worked in an Italian bakery in East Harlem, where they learned the fine art of thin-crust pizza making. In 1951, they moved down the street to their current location on Amsterdam between 110th and 111th street.

Characterized by the freshest and highest quality ingredients, and popular prices, the pizzeria became an instant success and a haven for Columbia students and Morningside Heights residents. Over the years, Vincent and Tony expanded the menu to include a wide variety of classic Italian dishes. From our famous chicken parmigiana to our popular pizza, we have been serving simple yet delicious food for decades and hope to continue for years to come.
